BOTAŞ - Silivri Natural Gas Storage Facility Process and Road Traffic Safety Risk Assessment

Establishing an Integrated Visual Safety Management System at the natural gas transmission, transfer, and storage facilities operated by BOTAŞ Silivri Operations Directorate, with the objectives of preserving asset integrity, eliminating operational errors, and enhancing response speed in emergency situations.

The project covers the systematic assessment of all warning, caution, and safety signs throughout the facilities; the identification of deficiencies through a risk-based approach; and the development of a Process Safety Signage Master Plan in compliance with international standards. In addition, it includes the preparation of a roadmap to establish a safe working environment in accordance with international safety standards by analyzing all movement within the facility boundaries—including pedestrians, vehicles, and mobile machinery—with the aim of minimizing collision risks and optimizing traffic flow.
